1. What this site is
ToonBench is an independent editorial site about free-to-play casual games available on Google Play. Everything published here is informational: verdicts, comparisons and descriptions are the opinion of the ToonBench desk, formed after installing and playing the games. Nothing on this site is professional advice, and no result is promised to any reader.
By using toonbench.com you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.
2. Ratings and game information
Ratings shown next to each entry are copied from that game’s own Google Play listing on the date stated on the home page, read with the store set to Australia and English. They are the store’s numbers, not ours, and they are reproduced without rounding. Google Play ratings change over time, so a value here may differ from the store on the day you read it. Titles, studio names, prices and availability are equally subject to change by the publisher at any moment.
Screenshots and icons are taken from each game’s own Google Play gallery. If you spot an entry that has become inaccurate, write to us and we will correct or remove it.
3. Advertising disclosure
The editorial content of this site is free to read. The project is supported in two ways, and we state both openly:
- Paid promotion. Some links to Google Play listings are placed as advertising. Where that is the case the placement is commercial, but the description and rating are prepared to the same standard as everything else.
- Free-to-play titles. The games recommended here are free to install and generally fund themselves through in-app advertising and optional in-app purchases. That is a property of the games, not an arrangement with us.
Advertising does not buy a rating, a ranking or a favourable verdict. No studio or publisher reviews an entry before publication, and no payment has been accepted to change a published opinion.
4. Paid plans
4.1 What is sold
ToonBench offers optional paid plans: Bench monthly at A$4.90 per month and Bench yearly at A$39 per year, both in Australian dollars and inclusive of any applicable tax. A paid plan gives access to extended editorial reviews, early access to shortlists, mechanics breakdowns and the archive of past issues, delivered by email. It does not restrict anything already published on the public pages of this site.
4.2 Term and renewal
A monthly plan runs for one month and renews on the same day each month until cancelled. A yearly plan runs for twelve months and renews annually until cancelled. The price in force at the time of purchase applies for that period; if a price changes we will tell you before the next renewal.
4.3 Cancellation
You may cancel at any time by writing to desk@toonbench.com or by using the link in any subscriber message. Cancellation stops the next renewal; access continues until the end of the period already paid for.
4.4 Refunds
If you cancel within fourteen days of a first purchase or a renewal and have not downloaded an archive issue, we will refund that period in full. After fourteen days a refund is calculated for the unused whole months remaining. Refunds are returned to the payment method used for the purchase, normally within ten business days. Nothing in this clause limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which apply in addition to these terms.
4.5 Billing status
Card payment is being activated with an external payment provider. Until that is complete, no checkout runs on this site, no card details are collected here and no charge is made. Registering interest through the form on the home page places you on the notification list only and creates no obligation for either side.
5. Acceptable use
You may read, quote and link to this site for personal and editorial purposes with attribution. You may not copy the site wholesale, republish entries as your own, scrape it at a scale that affects availability, or use it to send unsolicited messages.
6. No affiliation
ToonBench is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Google LLC, Google Play, or any of the studios and publishers named on this site, including TapBlaze, Nordcurrent Games, GAMEGOS, Rovio Entertainment Oy, Century Games PTE. LTD. and Microfun Limited.
7. Intellectual property
Game titles, icons, screenshots, characters and trade marks belong to their respective rights holders and are shown here for identification and editorial commentary. The editorial text, the layout, the wordmark and the design of ToonBench belong to ToonBench.
8. Third-party links
Links to Google Play and other external sites are provided for convenience. We do not control those destinations and are not responsible for their content, their terms or their handling of your data. Their own conditions apply once you leave this site.
9. Disclaimer and liability
The site is provided as it is. We take care to keep entries accurate but do not warrant that content is complete, current or uninterrupted, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from reliance on it. Non-excludable guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law continue to apply, and where liability cannot be excluded it is limited to resupplying the service or paying the cost of resupply.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Australian courts.
11. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the current version always appears on this page with its date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Questions go to desk@toonbench.com.
